    Heats have four or five schools being represented.

    Each of the seven heats will have one winner.

    In addition, each area (Fleetwood, Preston, Colne) will have one wildcard place chosen by the judges.

    Each school is given an eight-minute slot to perform two contrasting songs of their choice.
